La storia della fotografia contemporanea permette di conoscere tutte le tecniche usate dall’analogico al digitale. L’arte della fotografia oggi subisce un processo digitale e diventa sempre più uno strumento di massa.
Questo fa sì che la fotografia nella nostra contemporaneità diventi una grande occasione per creare immagini raffinate che puntano a valorizzare ogni elemento fotografato. L’artista americana Camille Ross affascinata dalla macchina fotografica e poi dalla sperimentazione digitale si avventura nella multimedialità e nella creazione di NFT originali.
Una delle considerazioni che viene fatta sulla sua fotografia digitale riguarda la ricorrente ricerca espressiva ed estetica che emerge soprattutto nella serie dei Selfie, qui si percepisce un grande desiderio da parte dell’artista di entrare nell’anima dell’osservatore, magari stravolgendo il comune senso estetico della bellezza.
Infatti, le immagini dei Selfie con volti trasformati, manipolati provocano, smarrimenti e vuoti psicologici. L’artista, opera in uno spazio temporale sufficiente per sperimentare il sentimento dell’angoscia e della paura di vivere, tutto si risolve nell’elaborazione psicologica del desiderio di cambiare vita. La sua ricerca dedicata al progetto Native Light Photography permette di conoscere la sua storia, le sue origini di Nativi americani.
Il suo mondo viene narrato…
…dai Selfie che ricordano le donne della sua famiglia, i simboli come l’aquila fondamentale elemento junghiano che esprime la volontà di salvare le sue origini. Tutte le immagini si basano sull’indagine dei sentimenti umani. Questa grande mostra romana presenta il suo percorso fotografico senza escludere la ricerca dell’espressione dell’Io e della sua personale ricerca di sentimenti autentici.
Tutte queste emozioni si percepiscono nei suoi scatti fotografici, soprattutto in quelli in cui emergono i suoi ricordi d’infanzia e di giovinezza.
Va precisato che nella sua fotografia nonostante le nuove tecnologie digitali, le modalità di scatto e di gestione della luce rimangono quelle ben studiate dell’analogico.
La rivoluzione digitale, più che il processo fotografico, stravolge incredibilmente i tempi di fruizione e di accessibilità alla fotografia.Senza dimenticare che ancora molti fotografi preferiscono scattare in analogico, magari con l’utilizzo di macchine medio formato o banchi ottici, a testimonianza di quanto detto, ovvero che l’impatto più grande del digitale è stato quello di portare la fotografia alle masse, e nello stesso tempo di produrre opere di qualità e originali proprio come fa l’artista Camille Ross.

Una lunga carriera segna il percorso artstico di Camille Ross, dalle mostre personali a Marfa, Texas e Santa Fe, New Mexico, alle mostre collettive in Italia e Spagna; il suo lavoro è stato esposto in tutto il mondo. In particolare, le sue fotografie fanno parte di prestigiose collezioni.
Le sue opere più intriganti sono le fotografie che ritraggono il Deserto in cui si evince l’energia vitale nei colori del cielo e della sabbia, questi scatti fotografici testimoniano la sua passione per la fotografia di paesaggio.
Camille Ross non è solo fotografa ma anche una bravissima scrittrice che sa raccontare tutte le sue esperienze di vita, le sue passioni spesso l’anno portata lontana dalla sua città e dalla vita quotidiana per vivere nuove esperienze alla ricerca di emozioni da vivere e da riprendere con il terzo occhio della macchina fotografica. Il suo lavoro è accattivante e in ogni suo progetto prevale la sua ricerca artistica basata sull’analisi sociologica e spirituale dell’individuo.
Il lirismo accompagna ogni scatto che diviene una narrazione proprio come un romanzo.

This makes photography in our contemporary times a great opportunity to create refined images that aim to enhance each element photographed. The artist American Camille Ross fascinated by the camera and then by experimentation digital ventures into multimedia and the creation of originals.
One of the considerations that is made about his digital photography concerns the recurrent expressive and aesthetic research that emerges especially in the Selfie series, here one can perceive a great desire on the part of the artist to enter the soul of the observer, perhaps distorting the common aesthetic sense of beauty.
