Georgia Trouli e Alessandro Trani. Il viaggio come metafora della vita.

E’ un tema classico; e citare Ulisse, il suo viaggio e il suo peregrinare per mare verso Itaca, parrebbe scontato, ma non lo è.

Nostos, in senso omerico, è il viaggio di ritorno, da una guerra verso la pace, verso l’agognata casa.

In Trouli e Trani il viaggio artistico appare invece un peregrinare senza sosta, che porta al naufragio dei sensi, all’oblio surreale, in cui entrambi si perdono, per ricercare se stessi.

Viaggiano a vela l’ignoto, suggerendo paesaggi che non esistono se non nelle loro menti e nei loro cuori. Ed è come un incontro di venti… il Meltemi, nel caldo dell’estate, talora tiepido e mite e talaltra in burrasca, sospinge l’Artista greca dalle coste della Tessalonica verso sud. E lo Zefiro primaverile da ponente accompagna lievemente l’Artista italiano dalla costa tirrenica verso oriente. E così il tepore di Georgia incontra la brezza di Alessandro, in un gioco di vibrazioni cromatiche e atmosfere sospese, che si fondono armonicamente, come in un mare solcato insieme.

Trani predilige paesaggi marini, con immagini soffuse e rarefatte, mentre Trouli dipinge visioni in cui le sfumature dei blu e dei verdi si alternano a tonalità decisamente più calde con il paesaggio che viene reinventato con suggestioni di terre lontane.

Le prospettive verso l’orizzonte, individuate da linee e fasce di colore, che rimandano ad albe, crepuscoli o tramonti, evocano volizioni, emozioni e stati d’animo diversi, più pacati in Trani, più vibranti in Trouli.

Quando Trouli incontra Trani è un momento intenso, di condivisione di esperienze di vita diverse, lontane, ma accomunate dallo stesso indomito spirito di affrontare e superare con l’Arte le peripezie di un viaggio, che non avrà mai fine.

The journey as a metaphor for life.

It is a classic theme; and quoting Ulysses, his journey and his wandering across the sea towards Ithaca, would seem obvious, but it is not.

Nostos, in the Homeric sense, is the return journey, from a war towards peace, towards the longed-for home.

In Trouli and Trani the artistic journey instead appears as a ceaseless wandering, which leads to the shipwreck of the senses, to surreal oblivion, in which both are lost, to search for themselves.

They sail the unknown, suggesting landscapes that do not exist except in their minds and hearts. And it is like a meeting of winds… the Meltemi, in the heat of summer, sometimes warm and mild and sometimes stormy, pushes the Greek Artist from the coasts of Thessalonica towards the south… and the spring Zephyr from the west gently accompanies the Italian Artist from the Tyrrhenian coast towards the east. And so Georgia’s warmth meets Alessandro’s breeze in a game of chromatic vibrations and suspended atmospheres, which blend harmoniously, as in a sea crossed together.

Trani prefers seascapes, in soft and rarefied images, while Trouli paints visions in which the shades of blue and green alternate with decidedly warmer tones and the landscape is reinvented with suggestions of distant lands.

The perspectives towards the horizon, identified by lines and bands of color, which refer to dawns, twilights or sunsets, evoke different volitions, emotions and moods, more calm in Trani, more vibrant in Trouli.

When Trouli meets Trani it is an intense moment, of sharing different life experiences, distant, but united by the same indomitable spirit of facing and overcoming with art the vicissitudes of a journey that will never end.
