C.A.S.E. – General Concept [ITA]

Medina Art Gallery e Gatsby Cafè, due realtà giovani e dinamiche, interagiscono sinergicamente per sviluppare progetti informali sull’Arte Contemporanea.

Molti di voi avranno in mente l’unicità e l’estrosità di Jay Gatsby che, con le sue feste esclusive, ha rafforzato il mito dei ruggenti anni Venti. Champagne e ostriche vengono consumate nella sua villa, che accoglie tutta l’alta società; e chi ne resta fuori non può far altro che ascoltare i pettegolezzi che escono da quella porta, simbolo di un decennio.

Gatsby Cafè, con la sua posizione e il suo ambiente, ha accolto questa eredità formale, diventando un punto di incontro vitale sul panorama romano.

Il progetto con Medina Art Gallery nasce dalla volontà di valorizzare l’Arte Contemporanea ed il suo racconto, offrendo al pubblico eventi culturali che ambiscono a divenire appuntamenti rilevanti e di interesse, generale e di settore: occasioni per aggiornare ed approfondire la scena artistica contemporanea, sempre in movimento e crescita.

Chissà se Jay Gatsby abbia mai pensato di ospitare sulle sue sfarzose pareti opere di artisti. Probabilmente sì e oggi questa idea qui si concretizza.

In un ciclo periodico di eventi ed opening, le opere in esposizione temporanea saranno fruibili con la possibilità di gustare ottimi drink. Diversi artisti, diversi generi ma medesimo concept. Nelle mostre al Gatsby Cafè si avvicenderanno artisti seguiti da Medina Art Gallery, fuori dal contesto formale dei vernissage in galleria e degli spazi ordinari, per seguire una sorta di nuovo percorso.

L’arte contemporanea necessita di essere fruita da tutti per essere realmente contemporanea: figlia di una rottura con la tradizione, ha bisogno di continuare a cavalcare questa frattura per essere libera. Ed è proprio questo il focus del progetto: arte che supera il suo spazio tradizionale per raggiungere la sua effettiva necessità, il pubblico.

Medina Art Gallery and Gatsby Cafè, two young and dynamic realities, interact with synergy to develop informal projects on Contemporary Art.

Many of you will have in mind the uniqueness and flair of Jay Gatsby who, with his exclusive parties, reinforced the myth of the Roaring Twenties. Champagne and oysters are consumed in his villa, which welcomes all of high society; and those who remain outside can only listen to the gossip that comes out of that door, a symbol of a decade.

Gatsby Cafè, with its position and its feel, has welcomed this formal heritage, becoming a vital meeting point on the roman panorama.

The project with Medina Art Gallery arise from the aim to enhance Contemporary Art and its tale, offering to the people cultural events that aim to become relevant meetings of general and sector interest: opportunities to update and focus the contemporary art scene, always moving and growing.

Who knows if Jay Gatsby has ever thought of hosting artworks on his walls. Probably yes and today this idea happens here.

In a periodic cycle of events and openings, the temporary exhibited artworks will be available with the opportunity to enjoy excellent drinks. Different artists, different genres but the same concept. In the exhibitions at the Gatsby Cafè, artists followed by Medina Art Gallery will alternate, outside the formal context of the gallery vernissages and ordinary spaces, to follow a sort of new path.

Contemporary Art needs to be enjoyed by everyone to be truly contemporary: coming from a crash with tradition, it needs to continue to ride this crash in order to be free. And this is precisely the focus of the project: art that goes beyond its traditional space to reach its real need, the people.
