Protagoniste della Mostra Internazionale “NOMADI DEL FUTURO: Una Sosta nel Deserto” sono le opere dell’Unione Internazionale di Artisti Nomadi del Futuro, per i quali il deserto è la metafora dell’assenza della casa: “Una terra desolata o mai destinata all’uomo. Il luogo da cui proveniamo e dove potremmo ritornare”.
Si definiscono “NOMADI DEL FUTURO” in un mondo in crisi d’identità. Seguendo la tradizione avviata dall’organizzazione che nacque nel 1997 ad Amsterdam, “NOMADI, Unione Internazionale di Artisti” (NOMADS, International Union of Artists), gli artisti partecipano ad un’attività residenziale, soggiornando in case messe a disposizione, come in un “albergo diffuso”. L’organizzazione è di “Arte a Fresa” che ha già programmato la seconda tappa in autunno a Londra, con l’obiettivo di raggiungere altre città del mondo ed ampliare il movimento.
IL CONCEPT
Questa mostra nasce dall’idea degli organizzatori di lanciare un invito, una open call universale, a pittori, scultori, fotografi e altri artisti internazionali (digitali, multimediali, ecc.), sfidandoli a portare in Italia opere sul tema del deserto. Intepretando metaforicamente come “deserto” tutti i sentimenti e i valori positivi, aridità di buone intenzioni, comprensione e rispetto reciproci, per risvegliare la capacità di armonizzarsi con la natura.
Il concept generale del progetto è la rinascita dell’uomo nel deserto, come metafora della continua ricerca, della perdita dei punti di riferimento, dell’indistinguibilità del percorso, che è particolarmente percepita nella nostra contemporaneità. L’idea della rinascita dell’uomo nel deserto è un’alternativa al pensiero e allo stile di vita occidentali abituali dei nostri giorni. Solo chi si espone e sopravvive ai climi estremi, ai pericoli e alle privazioni della vita nel deserto, riuscirà a credere di nuovo nella capacità dell’uomo di rinnovarsi.

Protagonists of the International Exhibition NOMADS OF THE FUTURE: “A Stop in the Desert” are the works of the International Union of Nomadic Artists of the Future. Among these we find artists for whom the desert is the metaphor of the absence of the house: “A wasteland or never destined to man. Where we come from and where we could return”.
These artists define themselves as “NOMADS OF THE FUTURE” in a world in identity crisis, hit by numerous conflicts and migrations, because they propose positive messages that praise the recovery of values.
Following the tradition started by the organization that was born in 1997 in Amsterdam, “NOMADI, International Union of Artists” (NOMADS, International Union of Artists), the artists participate in a residential artistic activity, staying in the houses made available, as in a “diffused hotel”. The initiative was taken by an Association of young artists, “Arte a Fresa” in Italy, which will then have a second stop in autumn in London (UK), and probably in a short time, could arrive in many other cities around the world, allowing a growing number of artists to participate and help spread the message of this group.This exhibition was born from the idea of the organizers to launch an invitation, a universal open call, to painters, sculptors, photographers and other artists (digital, multimedia, etc.), older than 18 years, both from the EU and other countries, challenging them to bring to Rome works on the theme of the desert. To interpret it metaphorically as a “desert” of positive feelings and values, dryness of good intentions, mutual understanding and respect, to awaken in each of us the ability to harmonize with nature creating pure and authentic beauty.
The inaugural exhibition of paintings, sculptures and photographs NOMANDI DEL FUTURO: “A Stop in the Desert”, which will take place in Rome from 17 to 23 May 2024, marks the beginning of a series of collective exhibitions throughout Europe. Their list of artists is constantly expanding and evolving.
All the artists, even if with different types of works, share the idea of the rebirth of man in the desert, as a metaphor of the continuous research, the loss of reference points, the indistinguishability of the path, which is particularly perceived in our contemporaneity. The concept of the rebirth of man in the desert is an alternative to the Western thought and lifestyle habitual in our day. Only those who expose themselves and survive the extreme climates, the dangers and the deprivations of life in the desert, will be able to believe again in the ability of man to renew himself.
